At MVP Baseball, our primary focus extends beyond competitive play. Ages
Our MVP Baseball program is for kids 8U-14U.
When

Where
Practices are held at Ravensdale Park, Summit Park, King County Fields, and Tahoma School District Fields.
Practices
Each team has different practice schedules. They are determined by the coach of the team.
Tournaments
Tournaments take place within Western and Easter Washington. Some teams may travel to Oregon, Idaho, Texas, Arizona, California, Vegas, and other states.
Uniforms
Uniforms are included in the cost of player fees. Each player will receive 2 jerseys, 2 pants, 2 hats, cage jacket, belt, batting helmet, and gear bag (helmet and gear bag are every 2 years).

Q: What days does MVP practice?
A: Teams can practice any day of the week. It will be determined by the coaching staff.
Q: How many tournaments does each team play?
A: 8-12 tournaments on average
Q: How is playing time determined?
A: It's up to the player's work ethic, attitude, skills, sportsmanship. It also depends on the position need/availability. There are no minimum playing time requirements. Player's typically do not sit for entire games. They may hit but not play on defense or vice versa.
Q: Are players allowed to play other sports?
A: Yes! We love having well-rounded athletes. Practices are optional from August to December to allow them to participate in other sports. Practices become mandatory January 1st and attendance will affect playing time.

Tryouts - Registration Opens June 1, 2025
All players interested in playing on a MVP Tournament Team must register and attend tryouts.
Teams
MVP Baseball forms one team in each of the 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, and 14U divisions as long as coaching staff is available. Each team will consist of 12-13 players selected by tournament team coaches and select Maple Valley PONY board members. Teams will only be fielded if coaches and Maple Valley PONY board feel that a competitive tournament team at each age group can be assembled.
Cost
Full program fees are determined prior to the opening of tryout registration. There is no cost to register for tryouts. Players selected for a MVP Tournament Team will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit upon accepting their position to the team. Payment for the remaining balance can be completed at the same time or through a scheduled payment plan set by the Maple Valley PONY board.
Player uniforms, tournament fees, umpire fees, and training (as outlined below) are included in the full program fee. Additional costs related to travel expenses are the responsibility of each player.

Training
Training is planned to begin in August based on field/facility. Team practices will be scheduled for three to four days per week with the exact days to be determined by each Head Coach.
League & Tournament Play
Tournament play can begin in January and run through July. The goal of the MVP Baseball Program is for each team to possibly play “at least 6-10 tournaments” depending on availability. Tournaments selected could be in Eastern/Western Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Arizona, Texas, Las Vegas, and possibly other states depending on team.
